As for honesty in writing … I think the bigger question is what, exactly, muted so many of us such that even we don’t know how we truly feel? I know the answer to that question, but most aren’t ready to hear it. It’s an answer one has to want to seek for themselves. It helps to be ready for the worst.
We are seeing the beginning of the worst through the eye of the internet and the antennae of the gut. We need, now more than ever, to see the truth of ourselves and each other. Being willing to face misery head-on, from bed if necessary, is not a bad start.
Hope you feel better soon. That you’ve not been feeling well makes me sad, empathetically.
It also make me feel better, selfishly, for these world events require a bit of, hopefully temporary, priority shifting.
